Reach out to your friends often, even if it's just a text to share a joke. Make sure your friends know that you are there for them, as well as sharing your needs.

Come out to a community hosted evening, a sporting event or an organized class to make new friends.

You could:

• Sign up for an art class

• Exercise at a recreation centre

• Get involved with a local not-for-profit

• Attend a local festival

• Skate at your neighbourhood rink

• Attend a book club

• Sit at a meditation centre
